The direct route to the snow fields from Sanctuary Point involves the road less travelled often along unsealed roads, Nerriga, Braidwood, The Big Hole, Snowball, and Numerella, before winding up at Cooma are all know for being cold, and not much else, so traversing these spots the map in the dawn hours is a fairly solitary experience unless you count Kangaroos and Wombats as your friends but it is a different experience than the Monaro speedway.
Arriving at Cronulla Lodge in Nth Perisher mid morning allowed a great days skiing with Jess and Tim under a clear blue sky with no wind.
