An intrinsically Australian experience that is not easy to explain to non Australians as it is melded into the fabric of our history and folklore, it requires travelling thousands of kilometres on dodgy roads to watch horses of dubious lineage, race around a dusty dry racetrack in the middle of the outback at Birdsville, nevertheless about 7000  people each year make the trek and in this collection I have tried to capture that experience
